AAAAAWWWW!!!! It would so nice if I could somehow get this little outfit off of Ebay for my Gladys, whom I used to play with all the time. There is a camisole, bloomers, even a corset and bustle pad!!!! All are trimmed in snow white lace frills with pretty pink ribbons and roses! AAAWWW!!! I WANT IT!!!!! Sometime I need to find me a store that sells this kind of doll clothing.

These screenshots are from the Betty Boop cartoon "Poor Cinderella," which was the first Fleischer cartoon in color and Betty Boop's only color appearance during that time. Sadly, her hair is red instead of the usual black. This is the scene where Betty Boop's rags are revamped into a ballgown. She is stripped from the rags into a combination of a camisole and bloomers that is quickly changed into a strapless bra, a ruffled slip, and (not to mention) her trademark garter. Ain't that precious?

Know Dorothy from "Wizard of Oz"? Well, here she is in "Meet Me in St. Louis," except in this movie her name is Esther. Dorothy - I mean Esther - is donning a very fancy corset (along with some other undergarments from the Edwardian period), and boy am I jealous! Hopefully, I will be laced into a corset whenever my wedding day comes.

I found this picture on eBay a long time ago. I can't remember if these paper dolls were from Belarus or Russia. Oh well. Regardless of the national origin, they are just as cute as can be (especially Alice's baby pink and blue, my favorite colors!).

This scene is from the cartoon "Pecos Bill," which is part of the Disney movie called "Melody Time." There is, however, an equally nice segment entitled "Once Upon a Wintertime." It's my favorite because of the Civil War style hoop skirt worn by the pretty little redhead in that cartoon.

Magnolia is from a website (gwtw4ever.com) mainly dedicated to the costumes worn by Vivien Leigh in "Gone With the Wind." I named her for the white flower that is always associated with Southern belles' fair complexions. Anywhoo, Magnolia's undies are so irresistable! They consist of an off-the-shoulder camisole, Victorian corset, short frilly bloomers, full-length hoop skirt, beribboned stockings, and pink bow pumps. I also like the pink ribbon bracelet tied around her right wrist.

I found this beautiful animation at pettipond.com, which obsesses over the sporting of petticoats, bouffant dresses, and the like. Because of my obvious fetish with undergarments, this website happens to be one of my favorites.
